GIBUS & REDON, Limoges, Faubourg des Casseaux, 1872-1881. Glazed porcelain pair of vases and middlepiece. Four applied biscuit putti holding a pink painted drapery with white enamel outlines. The jardiniere with impressed maker´s mark "GR" and form number. Delicately handpainted on both sides with figures and bird and flower baskets. Handpainted and gilded foot and top rim with black ground. All three pieces with black painter´s mark. Height of the vases 35,5 x width 25 cm, weight of each 2,3 kg. Height of the jardiniere 24 cm x length 35 cm, weight 3,25 kg. Total 7,85 kg.
Condition: The garniture was carefully cleaned with soapwater. The top rim gilding of the middlepiece with some wear, also to all the gilding of all three footrims. The left putto on the middlepiece with damage to the end of the foot. Except this in very good condition, no chip or crack, damage or repair anywhere. The painting in as new condition. Inside no limescale and clean.
