Chinese export wooden tea caddy with inset pewter liner, 19th. century. Etched and handpainted scenes on black lacquer of tea production in various buildings under trees with many figures and boats on the shore carrying tea packages. The liner´s lid with etched garden scene with two figures. Size 27,7 x 20 x 16,6 cm. Weight 3040 grams. Condition: One edge on top backside is damaged (see picture) and smaller damages to the right front edge of the lid. The painting on the lid is washed and faded. With lock, but missing key.
